Ian founded Superior Homes in 2006 after supervising construction sites in various African countries during the past 20 years. He is also the MD of Henderson Properties Ltd, a UK based commercial property development and letting business based in Glasgow, Scotland. Ian is passionate about supporting the development of Africa and employing local expertise and labour on a sustainable Project within a quality driven environment.
Judy has worked for Superior Homes since 2006 and she was appointed General Manager in early 2011. She gained valuable experience in all departments as she worked her way up the chain of command through office administration, site supervision and procurement with missions to the UK and China. She is a rounded person with impressive multi tasking abilities and she makes things happen around her through a unique mixture of carrots and sticks. Currently Judy is studying Project Management through distance learning to further enhance her skill set.
Angelica holds a Diploma in Sales & Marketing ABE (Association of Business Executives). She joined Superior Homes 2006 as an Office Administrator with the aim of helping the Directors set up the Office in Nairobi. In 2008 she took over as the Sales Manager overseeing the Sales of houses in Greenpark. Being at Superior Homes has equipped Angelica with skills and knowledge in the construction industry by her witnessing and participating in the interplay between various professionals synchronizing their energies to contribute towards the Company vision.
Daniel Kung’u joined Superior Homes in 2011. Daniel is a Bachelors of Commerce graduate from Kenyatta University and a CPA Finalist. Previously Daniel worked for Kimndewa Self Help Group, Mwaniki Kahuro and Associates CPA (K) and at Stima Sacco Society Ltd. Daniel supervises a small financial team which looks after Company finances and assets while paying close attention to detail.
Gideon Ng’ang’a joined Superior Homes in 2009 and he is responsible for all Site labour as well as the team of twelve specialist sub-contractors. Before joining the Company, Gideon worked in Somalia for RA international of Dubai on AMISOM projects and in South Sudan for Pacific Architects and Engineers on USAID, United Nations, Sudanese Army, Hospital and other projects. He has supervised construction using the Wall Ties concrete shuttering system employed by the Company in Sudan and Kenya.
Siloma joined Superior Homes in 2010 as an in-house designer. He graduated from the Kenya Polytechnic University with a Diploma in Architectural. He is tasked to work in co-ordination with Messrs Young and Gault, the UK based Project Architects. Daniel’s main work includes carrying out architectural design including site planning, scheme design and detail design and he also maintains the library of specifications and ‘as built’ drawings.
Benjamin joined the company as workshop purchasing officer in 2006 and he later joined the marketing department as a salesperson. Following training and accruing experience Benjamin is now in charge of plant and workshop operation. His assignments include ensuring availability of the plant equipment to site and tasking plant according to instructions given by Site Manager. Benjamin is also in charge of the welding shop which fabricates steel windows for the houses, streetlights, drain covers and gates.
Pascal Ochieng was appointed as Purchasing Officer for Superior Homes in 2009 and he is responsible for buying all types of construction materials as well as the receipt and safe storage of goods on Site. Before his promotion to his present post, Pascal was trained in formwork construction and he spent time as part of the marketing team. Pascal holds a diploma in purchasing and supplies and he has five years experience in construction.
Nicholus joined Superior Homes in 2012 as a Finance Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Finance Option from Kenyatta University and is a CPA finalist. He also holds an IMIS Diploma in Management Information Systems and Diploma in Project Management. Prior to his appointment to the current position, he worked in the Marketing team as a Sales Assistant. He is currently pursuing Msc. Finance at Kenyatta University.
Janet Kitui is the HR & Admin Manager of SHK. Janet has over 5 years working experience in HR and Administration. Previously she worked at Evergreen Crops Ltd, Elgon Kenya Ltd, Intelligent Logistics Solutions Ltd, Barclays Bank of Kenya and Strategic Industries Ltd. Janet, is a BBA, HR option graduate from KeMU.
